First Light Provincetown

Slay your way into the New Year!

First Light Provincetown is the final big festival of the holiday season with a four-day-celebration featuring events, holiday parties, and performances. You can find a list of performances at ptown.org.

On December 31st you can ring in the New Year with a fireworks celebration from MacMillan Pier at 5:30 pm. The best views for the fireworks are on the beach by the pier if it’s not too cold, or you can watch the fireworks from nearby bars, clubs and restaurants that have decks and indoor seating.

On New Year’s Day catch (or participate in!) the annual Polar Bear Plunge at 14 Johnson Street (Parking Lot). Gather with plungers, collect tee-shirts, gather inspiration from tracks spun by their New Year’s Day DJ, and learn about the important work of the Center for Coastal Studies! At noon, weather permitting, registrants will run, splash and plunge into the waters of Provincetown Harbor.
