Annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument

The annual tradition continues!  The Annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument will be held on Thanksgiving Eve, November 26, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:15.

The Lighting on the Hill is the official kick-off to the holiday season in Provincetown.

Townies and visitors come together for this FREE community event to “throw the switch” and light up the Monument for the season — a cherished tradition that has glowed above town for generations.

Schedule:
Bar opens at 3pm (cash only) with DJ Emerson spinning festive beats until 5pm.
Throw the Switch countdown at 5:10pm.
